CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS

CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS belongs to a class of medication called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, blood, bones, joints, heart, lungs, brain, chest, ears, skin, or soft tissues. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS does not work against infections caused by the virus.

CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS contains Cefuroxime (antibiotic) and Lactobacillus (probiotic). Cefuroxime works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for survival. Thereby damaging the bacterial cell wall and killing bacteria. Lactobacillus helps to restore good bacteria in the intestines. Thereby, it prevents diarrhoea and loss of beneficial bacteria due to the prolonged intake of antibiotics.

You are advised to take CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, bloating, diarrhoea, allergic reaction, and increased liver enzymes. Most of these side effects of CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS, penicillins, cephalosporin antibiotics, or any other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, inform your doctor before taking CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS. CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS is not recommended for infants below six months of age as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Drive only if you are alert, as CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS may cause dizziness. People with liver and kidney problems should take CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS with caution.

Lactobacillus is a probiotic (live microorganisms that keep the body healthy) that helps restore good bacteria in the intestines. Thus, it prevents diarrhoea and loss of beneficial bacteria due to the prolonged intake of antibiotics.

Swallow CEFUROXIME+LACTOBACILLUS as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it.
