AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL belongs to the class of medicines called 'expectorants' primarily used to treat cough associated with mucus. Coughing (dry or productive) is a body's way of clearing irritants (like allergens, mucus, or smoke) from airways and preventing infection. There are two types of coughs, namely: Dry cough and chesty cough. A dry cough is tickly and doesn't produce any vicious or thick mucus, while a chesty cough (wet cough) means mucous or sputum is produced to help clear your airways.

AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL is a combination of four drugs, namely: Ambroxol (mucolytic agent), Desloratadine (antihistamine) Guaifenesin (expectorant), and Menthol (cooling agent). Ambroxol works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Guaifenesin works by increasing the volume of fluid in the airways, reducing the stickiness of mucus, and helping to remove it from the airways. Desloratadine works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions.  Menthol produces a cooling sensation and provides relief from minor throat irritation.

Take AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL as prescribed. You are advised to take AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL for as long as your doctor has prescribed it based on your medical condition. Some people may experience drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, dizziness, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, and stomach upset. Most of these side effects of AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before using AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL as it might cause increased dizziness.

AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL contains Ambroxol, Desloratadine, Guaifenesin, and Menthol used to treat a cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent (cough/sputum thinner) that works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that increases the volume of fluid in the airways, reduces the stickiness of mucus, and helps to remove it from the airways. Desloratadine is an anti-allergic drug that blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions.  It helps to provide relief from allergy symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, and congestion or stiffness. Menthol is a cooling agent that produces a cooling sensation and provides relief from minor throat irritation.

Take AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL with or without food as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before using AMBROXOL+DESLORATADINE+GUAIFENESIN+MENTHOL. Shake the bottle well before use and take it with the help of a measuring cup that is provided with the pack.
