Zeloxa 200mg Infusion belongs to a class of medications called antibiotics used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, genital tract, chest, lungs, skin, and soft tissue. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Zeloxa 200mg Infusion does not work against infections caused by a virus.
Zeloxa 200mg Infusion contains Ofloxacin that works by interfering with bacterial enzyme, DNA gyrase involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, Zeloxa 200mg Infusion kills bacteria and clears the infection.
Zeloxa 200mg Infusion will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience redness, swelling or pain at the injection site, headache, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Zeloxa 200mg Infusion do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Ofloxacin or other antibiotics or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, please inform your doctor before taking Zeloxa 200mg Infusion. Avoid taking Zeloxa 200mg Infusion and consult a doctor if you are breastfeeding as Zeloxa 200mg Infusion may be excreted in human milk and cause adverse effects in the baby. Zeloxa 200mg Infusion is not recommended for children below 18 years as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Drive only if you are alert as Zeloxa 200mg Infusion may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or changes in vision. Avoid alcohol consumption with Zeloxa 200mg Infusion as it may cause sleepiness or dizziness.
