Oflox 200mg I.V. belongs to a class of medications called antibiotics used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, genital tract, chest, lungs, skin, and soft tissue. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Oflox 200mg I.V. does not work against infections caused by a virus.
Oflox 200mg I.V. contains Ofloxacin that works by interfering with bacterial enzyme, DNA gyrase involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, Oflox 200mg I.V. kills bacteria and clears the infection.
Oflox 200mg I.V. will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience redness, swelling or pain at the injection site, headache, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Oflox 200mg I.V. do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Ofloxacin or other antibiotics or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, please inform your doctor before taking Oflox 200mg I.V. .
