Ofloturn Infusion

Ofloturn Infusion belongs to a class of medications called antibiotics used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, genital tract, chest, lungs, skin, and soft tissue. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Ofloturn Infusion does not work against infections caused by a virus.

Ofloturn Infusion contains Ofloxacin that works by interfering with bacterial enzyme, DNA gyrase involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, Ofloturn Infusion kills bacteria and clears the infection. 

Ofloturn Infusion will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience redness, swelling or pain at the injection site, headache, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Ofloturn Infusion do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to Ofloxacin or other antibiotics or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, please inform your doctor before taking Ofloturn Infusion. Avoid taking Ofloturn Infusion and consult a doctor if you are breastfeeding as Ofloturn Infusion may be excreted in human milk and cause adverse effects in the baby. Ofloturn Infusion is not recommended for children below 18 years as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Drive only if you are alert as Ofloturn Infusion may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or changes in vision. Avoid alcohol consumption with Ofloturn Infusion as it may cause sleepiness or dizziness.

Ofloturn Infusion is used in the treatment of several bacterial infections. It interferes with the bacterial enzyme involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, Ofloturn Infusion kills bacteria and clears the infection.

If you have low levels of magnesium or potassium in your blood, inform your doctor before taking Ofloturn Infusion. If you have received transplantation or are about to undergo an operation under general anaesthesia, inform your doctor before taking Ofloturn Infusion.

If you are about to undergo any blood or urine tests, inform your doctor that you are taking Ofloturn Infusion as it may interfere with certain tests.
