Gabafix Gel

Gabafix Gel is a combination medicine used to treat neuropathic pain, acute musculoskeletal pain, joint stiffness, neck, back, and shoulder injuries. Neuropathic pain is a progressive nerve disease which causes nerve pain due to a damaged or malfunctioning nervous system. Musculoskeletal pain affects the bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves.
 
Gabafix Gel contains Pregabalin, Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, Menthol, and Capsaicin. Pregabalin works by modulating the calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Diclofenac and Methyl salicylate work by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Capsaicin exerts an analgesic effect by desensitising the nerve endings. Menthol provides a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels. Together, Gabafix Gel helps in providing relief from pain.
 
You are advised to use Gabafix Gel for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Gabafix Gel may cause side effects such as irritation and a burning sensation at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Gabafix Gel is for external use only. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Gabafix Gel on open wounds, damaged skin or with a heating pad. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth; if contact occurs, rinse with water thoroughly. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and the medicines you are taking to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Do not use Gabafix Gel if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have asthma, bleeding problems, inflammatory diseases, peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal inflammation/bleeding, or kidney or liver problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let your doctor know if you are taking any prescription/non-prescription medicines or herbal products.

• If Gabafix Gel comes in contact with eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with water immediately.
• Wash your hands before and after using Gabafix Gel; however, do not wash your hands if you are applying Gabafix Gel on your hands.
• Do not apply Gabafix Gel on wounds, cuts, damaged skin, or scrapes.
• Avoid using Gabafix Gel with a heating pad.
