Drez 2%w/v Gargle 60 ml is an antiseptic and disinfectant used to treat sore throat. It also treats and prevents the infections of the lining of the mouth and throat, such as gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and mouth ulcers. Drez 2%w/v Gargle 60 ml is also used to cleanse the mouth for preparation of the oral mucosa before any injection, dental surgery or tooth extraction.
Drez 2%w/v Gargle 60 ml contains Povidone iodine. It works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes. As a small molecule, iodine can easily penetrate microorganisms and oxidizes essential proteins, nucleotides, and fatty acids, leading to cell death. It is effective against bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa.
Use Drez 2%w/v Gargle 60 ml as suggested by a doctor. Drez 2%w/v Gargle 60 ml may cause common side effects like mouth or throat irritation, dryness of mouth and throat, and burning sensation.
