Novology PHA Oily Skin Serum is formulated with potent & effective active ingredients - Gluconolactone + Niacinamide formula, which is clinically proven to provide oil control for up to 8 hours. This PHA or Polyhydroxy Acid based serum is formulated with:

• Gluconolactone: it is derived from gluconic acid, which is a substance naturally produced by mammals in order to metabolize carbohydrates. It works as a humectant.
• Niacinamide: Also known as Vitamin B3 or Vitamin PP. It is a natural derivative of nicotinic acid.

Gluconolactone (PHA) is a larger molecule than AHA and it, therefore, penetrates even lesser than AHA. It works on the skin surface, is a gentle exfoliator, and is less irritating compared to AHA.

However, the serum is also suitable for sensitive skin as it does not penetrate beyond the epidermis, like BHA (BHA is lipophilic and hence penetrates into the follicle). Gluconolactone helps remove dead skin cells with gentle exfoliation.

This PHA oil reduction serum is safe to use for anyone with excessive oily skin, open pores, excess sebum production, blackheads, and whiteheads. It is suitable for all skin types, especially acne or oily skin.
