Nanofen Gel Ointment is a combination of four drugs: Diclofenac, Linseed Oil, Methyl Salicylate, and Menthol. Diclofenac and Methyl Salicylate are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Linseed oil possesses an anti-inflammatory action that inhibits inflammatory mediators like leukotrienes, thereby reducing inflammation. Menthol is a soothing and cooling agent which provides a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. It also enhances the penetration of drugs. Together, Nanofen Gel Ointment helps relieve mild to moderate pain in musculoskeletal and joint conditions.
