Istafol Tablet

Inform your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food) before starting Istafol Tablet . Let your doctor know if you have any blood disorders like pernicious anaemia before starting Istafol Tablet . Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Istafol Tablet . Drinking alcohol may hinder Istafol Tablet absorption; therefore, it is advised to limit the alcohol intake while using Istafol Tablet . 

Istafol Tablet is used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It contains L-Methylfolate, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate and Methylcobalamin. L-Methylfolate helps the formation of red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. It prevents and treats folate deficiency. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (vitamin B6) is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism, the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. It helps in cognitive development through the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters and maintains normal homocysteine levels (an amino acid in the blood). Methylcobalamin (Mecobalamin) regulates body functions like cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. It treats alcoholic and diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage) and pernicious anaemia.

Istafol Tablet belongs to the class of 'multivitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body is unable to absorb or get enough nutrients from food. It could lead to various health problems, including defective bone growth, skin disorders, digestive issues, and dementia (memory loss). 

Istafol Tablet contains L-Methylfolate, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate and Methylcobalamin. L-Methylfolate helps in producing new blood cells and prevents low folate levels. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism, the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Methylcobalamin regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. 

Your doctor will decide the duration based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Istafol Tablet may cause common side effects like nausea, stomach upset, and diarrhoea. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Please consult your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Let your doctor know if you use any other medicines before starting Istafol Tablet . If you are allergic to Istafol Tablet or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. If you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mother, please consult your doctor before taking Istafol Tablet . Istafol Tablet should not be given to children unless advised by a doctor. It is not known if alcohol interacts with Istafol Tablet , so consult a doctor if you have any concerns.
