If you are allergic to Ferro Plus Tablet 30's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Ferro Plus Tablet 30's should be used with caution in children and only if recommended by a doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using Ferro Plus Tablet 30's. If you have an allergy to any sugars, inform your doctor before taking Ferro Plus Tablet 30's as it may contain lactose. If you have a stomach ulcer, vitamin B12 deficiency, any blood disorder, repeated blood transfusions, ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon), pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to lack of vitamin B12) or folate-dependent tumour, inform your doctor before taking Ferro Plus Tablet 30's.

Ferro Plus Tablet 30's is a combination of two drugs, namely: Ferrous fumarate (iron supplement) and folic acid (a form of vitamin B9). Ferro Plus Tablet 30's works by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBC are produced in the body, so that body's each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. Also, folic acid is necessary for pregnancy as it plays a role in the development of the brain and spinal cord in the unborn baby.

Ferro Plus Tablet 30's belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' primarily used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) and folic acid deficiency that occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells for carrying adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.
