Eastcad Tablet 10's belongs to the class of 'nutritional supplements', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Eastcad Tablet 10's effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels (hypocalcaemia) in the body, like Vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), and rickets or osteomalacia (softening or deforming of bones due to lack of calcium).

Eastcad Tablet 10's consists of Calcium citrate, Elemental Magnesium, Elemental Zinc, and Vitamin D3. Calcium citrate is a mineral used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients required for bone formation and maintenance. Elemental Magnesium is a mineral that helps in the normal functioning of muscles and nerves and maintains bone mineral density. Elemental Zinc is a mineral that promotes the growth and development of body tissues. Vitamin D3 helps maintain blood calcium and phosphorus levels and the mineralization of bone. 

Your doctor will decide the dosage and duration based on your medical condition. Eastcad Tablet 10's is likely safe to use. In some cases, it may cause common side effects like constipation, nausea, vomiting, and stomach upset. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult a doctor.

If you are allergic to any of the components of Eastcad Tablet 10's, please inform your doctor. Please inform your doctor if you have hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), heart/liver/blood vessel diseases, and kidney stones before starting Eastcad Tablet 10's. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Eastcad Tablet 10's. It is advised to limit alcohol consumption since it may affect calcium absorption. This supplement should be used in children only when suggested by the doctor.

Brief your medical history to the doctor if you have any heart/liver/blood vessel diseases, kidney stones, achlorhydria (little or no stomach acid), low levels of bile, and phosphate imbalance before starting Eastcad Tablet 10's. Please consult your doctor before taking Eastcad Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Drinking alcohol can affect calcium absorption; therefore, it is advised to limit the alcohol intake while using Eastcad Tablet 10's. Children should be given this supplement only when advised by the doctor. 

Drug-Drug Interaction: Eastcad Tablet 10's may interact with antacids, antibiotics (ceftriaxone, penicillamine), heart-related medicines (digoxin), HIV/AIDS medicines (dolutegravir), hormones (levothyroxine), anti-cancer drugs (cisplatin), fits medicines (gabapentin), water-pills, high blood pressure medicines (verapamil), and Parkinson's medicines (Levodopa,).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks and alcohol as they may inhibit calcium absorption.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Eastcad Tablet 10's is not recommended in hypercalcaemia, hypervitaminosis D, and Vitamin D toxicity. Please consult your doctor for more advice.

• Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese or milk-based custard in your diet.
• Eat daily a serving of broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, spinach and other green leafy vegetables.
• Include the best dietary sources of vitamin D, such as fish liver oils and vitamin D–fortified milk.
• Snack on calcium-rich nuts like Brazil nuts or almonds. 
• Sprinkle sesame seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. Sesame seeds are high in calcium.
• Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks and alcohol as they may inhibit calcium absorption.
• Replace the meat with tofu or tempeh for extra calcium in your food.

It is advised to timely monitor your Vitamin D levels through blood examination.

Nutritional deficiency: A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food. This condition occurs when a person's nutrient intake is lesser than the body's recommended requirement. 

Hypocalcaemia: It is a condition caused due to low blood calcium levels. This can occur due to changes in hormones or decreased calcium consumption through dietary sources.

Vitamin D deficiency: When a person cannot get enough Vitamin D through food and exposure to sunlight, it leads to vitamin D deficiency. It often leads to thin, brittle or misshapen bones.

Osteomalacia/Rickets: It is a disease caused by softening and weakening of bones in children due to inadequate vitamin D.
