Candid Gold Dusting Powder 50 gm is a combination of two drugs, namely: Clotrimazole and Allantoin used to treat various fungal infections of the skin. The fungal cell membranes are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stops the leakage of cell contents. Clotrimazole belongs to the class of antifungals that damages the fungal cell membranes and kills fungi. Allantoin is a moisturizing agent that forms an oily layer on the top of the skin which traps in the water. Thereby moisturizes the outermost layer of skin and makes it smoother and softer. Also, it breaks down a protein known as keratin (that forms part of skin structure) and removes dead skin cells and softens skin.
