Valocon 450 Tablet 2's belongs to a class of drugs called antivirals used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina of the eye in adult AIDS patients. Also, Valocon 450 Tablet 2's is used to prevent CMV infection in patients who received an organ transplant from a donor infected with CMV. Cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis is a viral infection of the retina (light-sensing cells) caused by cytomegalovirus.
Valocon 450 Tablet 2's contains Valganciclovir which works by getting converted to ganciclovir in the body and inhibits the multiplication of the virus. Thereby, it helps to control the infection.
Take Valocon 450 Tablet 2's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Valocon 450 Tablet 2's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience diarrhea, loss of appetite, cough, headache, stomach pain, nausea, fever, tiredness, or sinusitis (sinus infection). Most of these side effects of Valocon 450 Tablet 2's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Valocon 450 Tablet 2's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking Valocon 450 Tablet 2's if you are pregnant as it may cause birth defects. If you are breastfeeding, do not take Valocon 450 Tablet 2's as it may be excreted in human milk and cause adverse effects in the baby. Women are recommended to use effective contraceptive measures while taking Valocon 450 Tablet 2's and for 30 days after treatment with Valocon 450 Tablet 2's. Drive only if you are alert as Valocon 450 Tablet 2's may cause dizziness, tiredness, drowsiness, shakiness, or confusion.
