Vaginobact Tablet 10's belongs to a class of medication called anti-infectives used to treat vaginal infection. Vaginal infection occurs at the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina. This condition can cause inflammation, intense itchiness, and a thick, white discharge from the vagina. Vaginal infection caused by bacteria, yeast, and trichomoniasis.

Vaginobact Tablet 10's is a combination of three drugs, namely: Azithromycin (antibiotic), Fluconazole (antifungal), and Ornidazole (antiprotozoal). Azithromycin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. The fungal cell membranes are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stops the leakage of cell contents. Fluconazole belongs to the class of antifungals that works by damaging the fungal cell membranes and kills fungi. Ornidazole belongs to the class of antiprotozoals that works by damaging the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria and protozoa and inhibits the formation of new DNA. Thereby, kills micro-organisms and clears the infection.

Take Vaginobact Tablet 10's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Vaginobact Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience taste change, vomiting, headache, dizziness, stomach pain, nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, loss of appetite. Most of these side effects of Vaginobact Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Vaginobact Tablet 10's. Drive only if you are alert as Vaginobact Tablet 10's may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or light-headedness. Avoid alcohol consumption with Vaginobact Tablet 10's as it may cause adverse effects such as nausea, increased heartbeat, chest pain, thirst, flushing (reddening of the skin), or low blood pressure. You are recommended to complete the full course of Vaginobact Tablet 10's as prescribed by your doctor for effective results. Vaginobact Tablet 10's is used with caution in liver diseases, heart diseases, stomach infections, and muscle disorders.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Vaginobact Tablet 10's may interact with a blood thinner (warfarin), muscle relaxant (vecuronium bromide), antibiotics (rifampicin, erythromycin, rifabutin), antidepressants (nortriptyline, amitriptyline), antifungals (voriconazole, amphotericin B), benzodiazepines (triazolam, midazolam), anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine), pain relievers (ibuprofen, lornoxicam, meloxicam, diclofenac, celecoxib, flurbiprofen, naproxen), antiallergic drugs (astemizole, terfenadine), antipsychotic drug (pimozide), the drug for stomach upset (cisapride), medicines used to lower high blood pressure (verapamil, felodipine, losartan, nifedipine, isradipine, amlodipine), antiarrhythmic agent (quinidine), anticancer drug (ibrutinib, olaparib), antiasthma drug (theophylline), anti-HIV drugs (efavirenz, saquinavir, zidovudine), antidiabetics (glibenclamide, glipizide, chlorpropamide, tolbutamide), antacids (cimetidine).

Drug-Food Interaction: Vaginobact Tablet 10's may interact with alcohol.

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have adrenal insufficiency (adrenal glands do not produce sufficient amounts of steroid hormones), abnormal levels of calcium, magnesium, or potassium, kidney, liver, or heart problems, muscle disorders inform your doctor before taking Vaginobact Tablet 10's.

• Take Probiotic supplements like yoghurt in your regular diet.
• Wearing loose-fitting clothing and cotton underwear
• Avoiding tight jeans and pantyhose, as yeast thrives in moist and warm environments
• Changing out of wet swimwear or gym clothing, as soon as possible
• Avoiding vaginal sprays, perfumes, and lotions, which can irritate the vagina and cause an imbalance of bacteria and yeast
• Drying the genital area thoroughly after showering or bathing
• Reducing sugar consumption, as yeast feeds on sugar
• Avoiding douching.

• Avoid consuming alcohol while taking medication as it may cause increased side effects.
• Vaginobact Tablet 10's causes diarrhea as a side effect. So drink plenty of fluids.
• Vaginobact Tablet 10's must be taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after the antacids.
