Tugain 10% Solution

Tugain 10% Solution is a vasodilator that treats alopecia (hair loss). It stimulates hair growth and prevents baldness. Tugain 10% Solution opens potassium channels and widens the blood vessels to increase the blood flow. This vasodilation process promotes blood flow to the hair follicles, providing sufficient nutrition and oxygen to the hair cell. This process of supplying oxygen and nutrients to the hair cell prevents its death and stimulates hair growth.

Tugain 10% Solution belongs to the class of ‘vasodilators’ used to treat alopecia (hair loss). Tugain 10% Solution stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any part of the body.

Tugain 10% Solution contains ‘Minoxidil’, a vasodilator that widens the blood vessels. This vasodilation process helps provide oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the hair follicles, thereby preventing hair cell death and promoting new hair growth. 

Your doctor will suggest the dose and duration based on your condition. Some common side effects of Tugain 10% Solution include changes in the colour/texture of the hair, excessive hair growth, headache, itching, skin irritation, dryness, shortness of breath, scaling of the skin, and redness. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve during the treatment. If the side effects persist or worsen, consult a doctor.

Do not apply Tugain 10% Solution on shaved, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp skin. Before using Tugain 10% Solution, let your doctor know if you have high blood pressure, sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, heart diseases like angina (chest pain), a recent heart attack, and circulation disorders. Tugain 10% Solution not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Tugain 10% Solution may cause dizziness affecting your driving ability; hence avoid driving or operating machinery until you are alert. Children and adolescents below 18 years should not use Tugain 10% Solution.
