About Triolen-25 Tablet 10's

Triolen-25 Tablet 10's belongs to a class of medicines called photosensitizers. It is used along with ultraviolet light for the treatment of vitiligo. Vitiligo is a skin condition in which the skin loses colour (melanocytes). This can result in discoloured patches in different areas of the body, including the skin, hair, and mucous membranes.

Triolen-25 Tablet 10's contains “trioxsalen”, which is a photosensitive medication used along with UV-A rays. It works by activating certain skin cells (melanocytes) and helps to re-pigment the discoloured and white patches.

Triolen-25 Tablet 10's should be taken as advised by your physician. The dose and course of this medicine will be decided by your doctor based on your health condition. Triolen-25 Tablet 10's may cause certain common side effects like erythema (skin redness), blisters on the skin, edema (swelling), and itching. These side effects resolve on their own.   • Triolen-25 Tablet 10's may be taken 2 to 4 hours before exposure to UV light. In this case, before each treatment, cover the skin for at least 24 hours, and after each treatment, cover the skin for at least 8 hours by wearing protective clothing. 
  • Protect lips and uncovered parts of the body with sunblock medications. Sunblock products (sunscreen lotions) should not be used on the areas of the skin that are to be treated. Use wraparound sunglasses.
