Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml belongs to ophthalmic eye medications primarily used to treat bacterial eye infections and reduce swelling, itching, and redness. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.

Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml is a combination of two drugs, namely: Tobramycin (antibiotic) and Fluorometholone (corticosteroid). Tobramycin belongs to the class of antibiotics that works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it destroys bacteria. Fluorometholone belongs to the class of steroids that works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Thereby, reduces the redness and swelling caused due to bacterial infections.

Use Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience eye irritation, eye redness, itchy or swollen eyelids, mild burning or stinging sensation in the eye, or eye discomfort. Most of these side effects of Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml is not recommended for children below 1 year of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml. Drive only if your vision is clear as Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after applying. You are recommended to maintain a time gap of at least 5 minutes between using Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml and other eye drops.

Please do not touch the container's tip to the eye, eyelids, or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml and cause eye infections.

• Avoid wearing contact lenses while using Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml as it may cause discolouration of soft contact lenses.
• If the infection persists or worsens after 7 days of using Tobfen F Ophthalmic Suspension 5 ml, please consult an eye specialist.
