THIOQUEST GEL 15GM is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for relieving pain. Pain can be acute (temporary) or chronic (long-lasting). Acute pain is a short time pain caused by damage to the tissues of the muscle, bone, or other organs. Chronic pain lasts for a long duration and is caused due to pathologies like nerve damage, etc. THIOQUEST GEL 15GM mainly helps in relieving musculoskeletal pain, inflammation, and stiffness in osteoarthritis patients (a musculoskeletal disorder in which the two ends of the joints to come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering of cartilage).

THIOQUEST GEL 15GM is a combination medicine containing Diclofenac, Linseed oil, Thiocolchicoside, Methyl salicylate, and Menthol. Diclofenac and Methyl salicylate work by inhibiting the effect of a cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme (chemical messenger) that is responsible for pain. Thiocolchicoside exerts an analgesic and muscle relaxant effect by activating GABA inhibitory pathways. Linseed oil helps in reducing inflammation. Menthol helps provide a cooling sensation and analgesic effect.

THIOQUEST GEL 15GM may cause certain side effects, such as itching, burning sensation, irritation, and redness at the site of application. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if any of these side effects persist, consult your doctor. THIOQUEST GEL 15GM is for external use only and should be used as advised by the physician.

• Perform gentle activities like 20-30 minutes of walking or swimming. Physical activity helps strengthen muscles and relieves joint stiffness.
• Maintain a healthy weight by performing regular low-strain exercises and eating healthy food.
• De-stress yourself by meditating, reading books, taking a warm bubble bath or listening to soothing music.
• Acupuncture, massage, and physical therapy may also be helpful.
• Try to wear loose clothes to avoid the spread of skin infection.
• Avoid wearing wet clothes. Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
• Do not scratch the affected area of the skin, as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
• Avoid sharing towels, combs, bedsheets, shoes or socks with others.
• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, and get plenty of sleep.
