Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet belongs to the group of medications called 'antidiabetic agents' used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. Type-2 diabetes mellitus is also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes or adult-onset diabetes. It is a medical condition in which blood glucose levels are above normal due to insulin deficiency, insulin resistance, or both.
Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines, namely: Teneligliptin and Metformin hydrochloride. Teneligliptin works by stopping the action of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 enzyme, which in turn increases the insulin levels in the body and reduces the glucagon levels. Metformin hydrochloride acts by decreasing liver glucose production and intestinal glucose uptake. Together, Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet helps control blood sugar levels.
Take Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Ten Dc-M 500mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
