About Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet

Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet belongs to a class of protein kinase inhibitors primarily used to manage or treat lung cancer. Lung cancer is a disease that causes malignant (cancer) cells to grow in lung tissues.

Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet contains Osimertinib, which blocks proteins on cancer cells that encourage cancer growth. Thus, it reduces or stops the progression of advanced cancer.

To treat your condition effectually, continue using Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. The most common adverse reactions are diarrhoea, rash, dry skin, nail toxicity, stomatitis (inflammation of the oral mucosa), fatigue (feeling overtired), decreased appetite, and low blood cell counts. You should talk to your doctor if you persistently experience these side effects.

Before taking the Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet , inform your doctor about all your allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to medicines or food. Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman. It is critical not to become pregnant or get pregnant while undergoing therapy and for several months after the treatment. Using effective contraceptive methods is recommended while on therapy with Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet . Contact your doctor immediately if you or your partner becomes pregnant while undergoing therapy. Breastfeeding is usually not advised during this treatment. Alcohol should be avoided during treatment with this medicine. Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.

Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet contains Osimertinib, which belongs to a class of protein kinase inhibitors primarily used to manage or treat lung cancer. Osimertinib blocks proteins in cancer cells that encourage the cancer to grow. Osimertinib can temporarily reduce or stop the progression of advanced cancer. Following surgery, Osimertinib may help prevent the cancer from returning.

Directions for Use

Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets. The doctor determines the dose and duration of the treatment based on your health condition.

Drug Warnings

Exposure of an unborn child to this medication could cause birth defects, so you should not become pregnant or father a child while on this medication. Effective birth control is required throughout treatment and at least six weeks after treatment for women and four months after treatment for males. You should not breastfeed while taking this medication for two weeks after your last dose. Unless the doctor suggests, do not use any other medicine, including herbal or vitamin supplements. In rare cases, Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet therapy may lead to Interstitial lung disease (ILD)/Pneumonitis. Dyspnea, cough, and fever are the symptoms which may be indicative of ILD. If these symptoms worsen, contact your doctor right away. If ILD is confirmed, your doctor will discontinue the Tagrisso 80Mg Tablet therapy.
