How does Solacid Tablet 12's work?

Solacid Tablet 12's is a combination of three drugs: Aluminium hydroxide (antacid), magnesium hydroxide (antacid) and dimethicone (antiflatulent). Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide works by neutralising excess stomach acid. Simethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.
