Sitcom Forte Tablet

Sitcom Forte Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called anorectal preparations used to treat haemorrhoids (piles). Haemorrhoids, also known as piles, are the inflamed and swollen veins in the rectum and anus that cause discomfort, pain and bleeding. Sitcom Forte Tablet provides relief from pain, inflammation, discomfort and itching associated with piles.

Sitcom Forte Tablet contains Calcium Dobesilate and Euphorbia prostrata extract. Sitcom Forte Tablet is effective in controlling bleeding from the engorged anal veins by enhancing the free flow of blood through the veins. It promotes healing and reduces inflammation by decreasing the viscosity of the blood and reducing leakage from the blood vessels.

Take Sitcom Forte Tablet on an empty stomach. Sitcom Forte Tablet should be swallowed as a whole with water; do not chew or break it. Sitcom Forte Tablet should be used in the dose and duration prescribed by the doctor. In some cases, Sitcom Forte Tablet may cause certain common side effects such as local rash, stomach ache, constipation, dry mouth, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist.

Inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of its components. Discuss with your doctor if you are on any medications, vitamins, herbs or supplements. Consult your doctor before starting Sitcom Forte Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform the doctor if you have intestinal problems, peptic ulcer disease, irritable bowel syndrome, or if you are scheduled to undergo surgery in the near future. Talk to your doctor regarding the usage of Sitcom Forte Tablet in children. 

Sitcom Forte Tablet contains Calcium Dobesilate and Euphorbia prostrata extract. It is used primarily in the treatment of haemorrhoids (piles). Calcium dobesilate helps control and arrest bleeding by enhancing blood health and integrity. It prevents oxidation of blood and damage that leads to shedding or bleeding. Thus, it prevents leakage and oozing of blood from piles. It aids the natural clotting process and augments the healing process. Euphorbia prostrata is a plant extract. By action of its flavonoids, tannins and phenolic acid, euphorbia prostrata exerts an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory action and helps in shrinkage of engorged blood vessels and arresting bleeding, thereby relieving the pain, congestion and discomfort caused by haemorrhoids.

• Sitcom Forte Tablet may affect the results of creatinine assays. Inform the person doing the tests that you are taking Sitcom Forte Tablet if you are getting your creatinine levels and kidney functions checked.
