Sibastin Tablet 10's

Sibastin Tablet 10's belongs to the group of medicines called 'Histamine H1 receptor antagonist' primarily used to treat allergic conditions like seasonal allergies/hay fever, allergic rhinitis, perennial allergic rhinitis (stuffy nose) and allergic conjunctivitis (eye allergies). Allergy is the response of the body to a foreign substance. 

Sibastin Tablet 10's contains 'Ebastine' that works by blocking the effect of histamine (chemical messenger) which is responsible for allergic reactions, thereby providing relief from allergic symptoms such as swelling, itching, rashes, sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes.

You are advised to take Sibastin Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Sibastin Tablet 10's may cause common side-effects such as dry mouth, headache, and drowsiness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Consult your doctor before taking Sibastin Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, your doctor will prescribe Sibastin Tablet 10's only if the benefits outweigh the risks. Sibastin Tablet 10's may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Sibastin Tablet 10's is not recommended for children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Sibastin Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness.

Avoid consuming Sibastin Tablet 10's along with erythromycin (antibiotics) and ketoconazole (anti-fungal) as it might lead to higher levels of Sibastin Tablet 10's in the blood leading to toxicity.
