RUPAHIST TABLET used in the treatment of allergies. It helps provide relief from various allergic reactions in children. An allergic reaction is a response that occurs when foreign particles enter the body. This allergic reaction may vary from person to person. RUPAHIST TABLET is used to treat allergic reactions and urticaria (swelling, redness, and itchiness of the skin).
RUPAHIST TABLET contains Rupatadine which is an anti-allergic medicine. It works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger called ‘histamine. This chemical messenger is naturally involved in allergic reactions. Rupatadine helps to relieve discomfort and unpleasant symptoms, like blocked/runny/itchy nose, red/watery eyes, and skin rashes that occur due to allergic conditions.
RUPAHIST TABLET may cause certain side effects in your child, such as abdominal pain, headache, cold-like nose symptoms (in children), or diarrhoea (in children). These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician. RUPAHIST TABLET should be taken as advised by your doctor. Do not give the child more than the prescribed dose of RUPAHIST TABLET. RUPAHIST TABLET can be given with or without food. Your paediatrician will decide the dose of the medicine depending on the type and severity of the infection.
RUPAHIST TABLET is intended for pediatric use only. Avoid giving RUPAHIST TABLET to your child if she/he is allergic to antibiotics. Keep your doctor informed about your child’s health condition, medications, and medical history to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before administration, inform your doctor if your child has liver and kidney problems. RUPAHIST TABLET is not recommended for use in children below six years of age as its safety and efficacy are not established.
