Do not take Relbow Mint Gel if you are allergic to any of its contents, debilitated (very weak); if you have severe stomach pain, partially or fully blocked bowel. Inform your doctor before taking Relbow Mint Gel if you have low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, kidney or liver problems, a low-phosphate diet or if you are taking antibiotics such as doxycycline, oxytetracycline, levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin. Avoid taking foods and drinks containing citrates with Relbow Mint Gel as it might lead to increased serum levels of aluminium which can be harmful. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Relbow Mint Gel should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Relbow Mint Gel as it could lead to increased acidity. Relbow Mint Gel may cause dizziness and drowsiness; do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert.

Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Oxetacaine exerts a numbing effect, thereby providing relief from pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach.

The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn.

You are advised to take Relbow Mint Gel for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition.
