Psorberol Ointment 15 gm

Psorberol Ointment 15 gm is used to treat psoriasis vulgaris. Psoriasis is a skin disorder in which skin cells multiply faster than usual. This causes scaling, redness, and thickness of the skin. Psoriasis is a chronic condition with no cure, but treatment aims to remove scales and stop skin cells from growing quickly.
 
Psorberol Ointment 15 gm is a combination of two medicines, namely: Betamethasone and Calcipotriol. Betamethasone works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Calcipotriol helps in bringing the rate of skin cell growth back to normal. Together, Psorberol Ointment 15 gm helps in treating psoriasis.
 
You are advised to use Psorberol Ointment 15 gm for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Psorberol Ointment 15 gm may cause common side effects such as itching and skin exfoliation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Do not use Psorberol Ointment 15 gm if you had a skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine. Consult your doctor before using Psorberol Ointment 15 gm if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Psorberol Ointment 15 gm in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration, as it may cause adverse effects. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. Psorberol Ointment 15 gm is not recommended for children below 18 years.

Inform your doctor if you have/had skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine, diabetes, guttate psoriasis, kidney or liver disease or if you are using other medicines containing steroids. Consult your doctor before using Psorberol Ointment 15 gm if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Psorberol Ointment 15 gm in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration, as it may cause adverse effects. • Clean and dry the affected area before using Psorberol Ointment 15 gm.
• Do not use Psorberol Ointment 15 gm on dressing, band-aids and make-up unless told by the doctor.
• If Psorberol Ointment 15 gm comes in contact with eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with water immediately.
• Wash your hands before and after using Psorberol Ointment 15 gm; however, do not wash your hands if you are applying Psorberol Ointment 15 gm on your hands.
• Do not apply Psorberol Ointment 15 gm on wounds, cuts, damaged skin, or scrapes.
• Avoid exposing fabric that has been in contact with Psorberol Ointment 15 gm to smoke or naked flames.
