About Perindosyl-4Mg Tablet 10'S

Perindosyl-4Mg Tablet 10'S is an anti-hypertensive medication primarily used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. It is also used to reduce the risk of cardiac events like a heart attack in patients with coronary artery disease and who have had a heart attack and/or surgery to improve the blood supply to the heart. Hypertension (High blood pressure) is a condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes so high that it causes health problems, such as heart disease.

Perindosyl-4Mg Tablet 10'S contains Perindopril erbumine, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor; it reduces increased blood pressure by blocking a naturally occurring substance known as angiotensin II (that tightens your blood vessels). Perindosyl-4Mg Tablet 10'S relaxes and widens the blood vessels, thereby lowering the blood pressure and making it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body.

Take Perindosyl-4Mg Tablet 10'S as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you on the dosage and duration based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dizziness, headache, weakness, vomiting, and nausea. Most of these side effects of Perindosyl-4Mg Tablet 10'S do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Try not to stop taking this medicine on your own, even if your blood pressure becomes normal; doing so may worsen your condition. Avoid taking Perindosyl-4Mg Tablet 10'S if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Perindosyl-4Mg Tablet 10'S is not recommended for children below 18years. Perindosyl-4Mg Tablet 10'S may cause dizziness and weakness, so drive or operate machinery only if you are alert. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any interactions.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Hypertension: It is a chronic condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the artery walls. This condition can lead to hardened arteries (blood vessels), decreasing the blood and oxygen flow to the heart. High blood pressure (hypertension) can cause chest pain (angina) and heart attack (when blood supply to the heart is blocked), brain damage (stroke), and kidney failure. High blood pressure can be diagnosed with the help of a blood pressure monitor or sphygmomanometer. Ideal blood pressure should be between 90/60 mm of Hg and 120/80 mm of Hg.
