FAQs

Paratuf-D Tablet 10'S is a combination of drugs namely; Domperidone and Paracetamol. Domperidone is a prokinetic that prevents nausea and vomiting symptoms by blocking certain receptors (like dopamine and serotonin) that stimulate the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone - CTZ) located in the brain. It also acts as a prokinetic agent that increases the upper gastrointestinal tract's motility and helps in decreasing the stomach emptying time. Paracetamol is an NSAID that works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger in your body, known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical ‘prostaglandins’(PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Together, used to prevent nausea, vomiting, pain, and fever associated with migraine.
