Osteofit-XT Capsule 10's contains Calcitriol, Calcium carbonate, and Soya isoflavones to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis. Calcitriol is a man-made form of Vitamin D3 and treats calcium deficiency. It raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. This helps in improving the absorption rate of calcium from the stomach. Calcium carbonate is a mineral that is used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Soya isoflavones work by improving the health of the heart and strengthen bones in postmenopausal women.

Osteofit-XT Capsule 10's belongs to the class of medicines called dietary supplements used to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones). Postmenopause is a condition in which women have not had a period of 12 months or longer. Osteoporosis is a bone disease that weakens and thins bones by decreasing bone density which is common in post-menopausal women. As the density of bones decreases, they weaken and are more likely to break.
