Orhalo Ointment 15gm belongs to a class of drugs called 'topical corticosteroids' primarily used to reduce plaque psoriasis symptoms like plaque build-up, scaling, redness and dryness in 2 weeks for patients more than 12 years of age. The skin's swelling occurs when an allergic reaction or skin irritation releases several substances in the skin that widens blood vessels and cause itching, redness, pain, and swelling in the irritated area.

Orhalo Ointment 15gm contains 'Ulobetasol' that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such chemicals are released normally.

Orhalo Ointment 15gm is for external or topical use only. Avoid contact of Orhalo Ointment 15gm with nose, mouth or eyes. In case Orhalo Ointment 15gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience dryness of skin, itching, pain, stretch marks, headache, burning or stinging sensation at the application site. Most of these side effects of Orhalo Ointment 15gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you have diabetes, liver disease, adrenal gland disorder or any skin infection, inform your doctor before taking Orhalo Ointment 15gm.

• Reducing stress and maintaining a regular sleep pattern would be helpful.
• Avoiding getting in contact with harsh soaps, detergents, and rough fabrics.

• Regularly monitor blood sugar levels while taking Orhalo Ointment 15gm as it may increase blood sugar levels.
• If there is no improvement after 2 weeks, immediately consult a dermatologist. 
• Orhalo Ointment 15gm is not recommended for use in the children below 12 years of age due to more sensitivity to steroids' toxic effect. 
• Orhalo Ointment 15gm may increase the risk of eye conditions like cataract and glaucoma formation. So, if any visual symptoms occur, immediately refer to an ophthalmologist for its evaluation.
