OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections. It is indicated in the treatment of shigellosis, dental infections, post-surgical infections, diarrhoea, and mixed infections of the cervix and vagina. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria enter, multiply, and infect the body. Harmful bacteria produce toxins, which can damage tissue and cause sickness.

OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION is a combination of two antibiotic drugs: Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin prevents the bacteria from repairing and dividing. Ornidazole damages the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria. Together, OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION kills the bacteria and helps in treating bacterial infections.

OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, headache, and dizziness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Talk to your doctor if you experience pain in tendons, swelling, and inflammation, as OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION may increase the risk of tendon rupture and tendonitis. Consult your doctor before taking OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION may cause dizziness and drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid alcohol consumption while on treatment with OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION as it may cause increased dizziness. OFLOX OZ IV INJECTION is not recommended for use in children.
