OCULAN INJECTION 1ML may cause hypotension (low blood pressure) or hypertension (high blood pressure). Therefore, regular monitoring of blood pressure is advised whilst on treatment with OCULAN INJECTION 1ML.
Nausea and vomiting might be a side effect of OCULAN INJECTION 1ML. It is not necessary for everyone taking OCULAN INJECTION 1ML to experience these side effects. However, if the condition persists or worsens, please consult a doctor.

About OCULAN INJECTION 1ML

OCULAN INJECTION 1ML is indicated for the production of regional or local anaesthesia during surgery or medical procedures. Additionally, it is indicated in the management of ventricular arrhythmia (abnormal heartbeat) associated with acute myocardial infarction, or cardiac surgery. 

OCULAN INJECTION 1ML contains ‘Lidocaine’ that blocks the influx (entry) of sodium ions into the membrane that surrounds the nerves, thereby preventing initiation and conduction of impulses; hence providing an anaesthetic effect. OCULAN INJECTION 1ML blocks cardiac sodium channels, thereby treating arrhythmia.

OCULAN INJECTION 1ML will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as dizziness, high/low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, and paresthesia (burning or prickling sensation).
