Nucoril OD Tablet

Nucoril OD Tablet belongs to a class of medication called 'vasodilators' used to prevent or treat angina pectoris (heart-related chest pain) in adults who cannot take beta-blockers (blood pressure-lowering pills). Angina pectoris is a kind of chest pain due to decreased blood flow to the heart. It is a symptom of coronary artery disease.

Nucoril OD Tablet contains Nicorandil, a potassium-channel activator that opens potassium channels present on the muscle cells within the walls of blood vessels and relaxes these muscle cells and widens blood vessels. Thereby, Nucoril OD Tablet reduces the heart's workload by making it easier for the heart to pump blood around the body and does not require much oxygen. Also, Nucoril OD Tablet helps to prevent angina by increasing oxygen and blood supply to the heart muscle by widening coronary arteries within the heart.

Take Nucoril OD Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Nucoril OD Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Some people may experience headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, weakness, flushing (reddening of the skin) or very fast, forceful or uneven heartbeat. Most of these side effects of Nucoril OD Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Nucoril OD Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Do not take Nucoril OD Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and consult a doctor. Nucoril OD Tablet is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Drive only if you are alert as Nucoril OD Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness. Avoid alcohol consumption with Nucoril OD Tablet as it may cause severely low blood pressure. Avoid taking vardenafil, sildenafil, tadalafil and riociguat with Nucoril OD Tablet as it may affect blood pressure.

If you are allergic to Nucoril OD Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking Nucoril OD Tablet if you have hypotension (severe low blood pressure), low blood volume, pulmonary oedema (accumulation of fluid in the lungs) or any heart problems. Do not take Nucoril OD Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and consult a doctor. Nucoril OD Tablet is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Drive only if you are alert as Nucoril OD Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness. Avoid alcohol consumption with Nucoril OD Tablet as it may cause severely low blood pressure. Avoid taking vardenafil, sildenafil, tadalafil and riociguat with Nucoril OD Tablet as it may affect blood pressure. If you notice in blood in stools while taking Nucoril OD Tablet, inform your doctor immediately as it may be due to ulcers in the stomach, intestines or back passage.

• Avoid consumption of alcohol with name as it may cause severe low blood pressure.
• Regular exercise is recommended along with Nucoril OD Tablet for effective results.
