Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension

Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension belongs to a group of medicines called antacids used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn. 

Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension is a combination of four drugs: Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide, Oxetacaine and Simethicone. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide belong to a group of antacids, whereas oxetacaine belongs to local anaesthetics. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide works by neutralising excess stomach acid. Oxetacaine exerts a numbing effect, thereby provides relief from pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach. Simethicone is anti-flatulent which works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping).

Take Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. You may experience certain common side-effects such as constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness, and drowsiness in some cases. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

Do not take Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension should not be given to children as safety have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension as it could lead to increased acidity. Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension may cause dizziness and drowsiness, do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert. Inform your doctor regarding other prescription, non-prescription and herbal medicines you are taking to prevent any side-effects/interactions.

Do not take Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension if you are allergic to any of its contents, debilitated (very weak); if you have severe stomach pain, partially or fully blocked bowel. Inform your doctor before taking Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension if you have low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, kidney or liver problems, history of appendicitis, rectal bleeding, a low-phosphate diet or if you are taking antibiotics. Avoid taking foods and drinks containing citrates with Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension as it might lead to increased serum levels of aluminium which can be harmful. Do not take Noburn-OX Sugar Free Suspension if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor.
