About Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension belongs to the class of medicines called ‘corticosteroids’ used to relieve symptoms of asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Asthma is a chronic (long-term) respiratory condition in which airways narrow, swell and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty in breathing. COPD is a group of lung diseases with emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of bronchial tubes).

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension contains Mometasone, a potent corticosteroid. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such substances are released normally. Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension decreases inflammation and irritation in the airways and makes breathing easier. Thus, it provides relief from the symptoms of asthma and COPD. 

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension should be used as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension for a period recommended by your doctor based on your condition. Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension may cause side effects, including upset stomach, sore throat, oral thrush, hoarse voice, headache, nausea, and tiredness/weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension should be avoided if allergic to it.  If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension. Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension is not recommended for children below 12 years of age. Stop using Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension and contact your doctor immediately if you notice any vision changes or if your skin becomes sensitive or irritated after using Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension. Do not use more than the prescribed dose of Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension. Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension is for inhalation use only. Hence do not use it for other purposes. Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension is not used to treat asthma attacks.

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension contains Mometasone, a potent corticosteroid. Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension eases breathing by reducing swelling and irritation in the airways. Directions for Use

Inhaler: Shake the inhaler well and check the label for directions before using it. Inhale the powder by mouth using an inhaler. Take it daily at the same time to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Press down the inhaler once to release the medicine. Repeat until you have inhaled the number of puffs as advised by your doctor.
