MX-5 Solution

MX-5 Solution is a vasodilator that treats alopecia (hair loss). It stimulates hair growth and prevents baldness. MX-5 Solution opens potassium channels and widens the blood vessels to increase the blood flow. This vasodilation process promotes blood flow to the hair follicles, providing sufficient nutrition and oxygen to the hair cell. This process of supplying oxygen and nutrients to the hair cell prevents its death and stimulates hair growth.

MX-5 Solution belongs to the class of ‘vasodilators’ used to treat alopecia (hair loss). MX-5 Solution stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any part of the body.

MX-5 Solution contains ‘Minoxidil’, a vasodilator that widens the blood vessels. This vasodilation process helps provide oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the hair follicles, thereby preventing hair cell death and promoting new hair growth. 

Your doctor will suggest the dose and duration based on your condition. Some common side effects of MX-5 Solution include changes in the colour/texture of the hair, excessive hair growth, headache, itching, skin irritation, dryness, shortness of breath, scaling of the skin, and redness. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve during the treatment. If the side effects persist or worsen, consult a doctor.

Do not apply MX-5 Solution on shaved, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp skin. Before using MX-5 Solution, let your doctor know if you have high blood pressure, sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, heart diseases like angina (chest pain), a recent heart attack, and circulation disorders. MX-5 Solution not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. MX-5 Solution may cause dizziness affecting your driving ability; hence avoid driving or operating machinery until you are alert. Children and adolescents below 18 years should not use MX-5 Solution.
