About Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet

Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensive used in the management of high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a medical condition in which the blood exerts high pressure against the walls of the arteries (blood vessels). This increases the heart's workload, and if it continues for a long time, the heart and arteries may not function properly. It can damage the kidney, brain and arteries of the heart. However, lowering blood pressure may reduce the risk of stroke and heart attacks.

Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet contains 'Moxonidine', which relaxes and widens the blood vessels making it easier for the heart to pump blood to all body parts. This, in turn, helps decrease the raised blood pressure and the risk of having a heart attack or stroke in the future, especially for people with high blood pressure.

Your doctor will recommend how often you take Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet based on your medical condition. Some people may experience dry mouth, dizziness, weakness (asthenia), rash or itching, insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), nausea, vomiting, and indigestion. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you should speak to your doctor if you experience these side effects.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet or any other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before using Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet.  Regular monitoring of blood pressure, electrolyte levels, and kidney functioning is advised while taking Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet. You are advised to consume low salt and low-fat diet while taking Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet. Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet should not be given to children unless prescribed by the doctor. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Moxopress 0.2mg Tablet as it might increase certain side effects. Keep your doctor informed about all the medicines you are taking and your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side effects.
