Migranil Tablet 10's

About Migranil Tablet 10's

Migranil Tablet 10's belongs to the class of medications called 'antimigraine agents' used to prevent migraine symptoms like intense throbbing in one area, headache, nausea and vomiting. Hormonal changes, stress, lack or excess of sleep, bright lights, loud sounds, certain foods and drinks can trigger migraine headaches.

Migranil Tablet 10's contains Ergotamine (alkaloid), Caffeine (methylxanthine), Paracetamol (mild analgesic) and Belladonna (alkaloid). Ergotamine works by narrowing the blood vessels in the brain and affects the blood flow patterns associated with headaches. Caffeine enhances the vasoconstrictive effect (narrowing of blood vessels). Belladonna works by blocking the chemicals of the nervous system. Paracetamol blocks the release of prostaglandins that cause pain and fever. Together, Migranil Tablet 10's helps treat signs and symptoms of migraine.

You are advised to take Migranil Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. You may experience certain common side-effects such as stomach pain, dizziness, dry mouth and diarrhoea in some cases. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

Migranil Tablet 10's contains paracetamol, do not take other medicines containing paracetamol along with Migranil Tablet 10's unless prescribed. Do not take Migranil Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Migranil Tablet 10's may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Migranil Tablet 10's should not be given to children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol with Migranil Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased dizziness.
