About Metrogyl Compound Plus Tablet 10's
Metrogyl Compound Plus Tablet 10's is a combination medicine used to treat diarrhoea. Diarrhoea is a condition in which there is a frequent need to empty the bowels. It is characterised by loose and watery stools. Metrogyl Compound Plus Tablet 10's helps treat asymptomatic intestinal amoebiases such as loose stools, abdominal cramping, and stomach pain. Metrogyl Compound Plus Tablet 10's also helps to treat amoebic infections and also provides relief from painful pressure caused by excess gas in the stomach and intestines.
Metrogyl Compound Plus Tablet 10's contains Ornidazole (antiprotozoal), Diloxanide (amoebicide), and Simethicone (anti-foaming agent). Ornidazole kills bacteria by damaging their DNA. Diloxanide kills the infection-causing micro-organisms by acting on the intestine. Simethicone works by lowering the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract. Together, Metrogyl Compound Plus Tablet 10's helps in treating diarrhoea.
