Met XL Trio 25 Tablet 15's belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Met XL Trio 25 Tablet 15's helps lower the blood pressure, thereby reducing the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness, and dyspnea (shortness of breath). Met XL Trio 25 Tablet 15's is a combination of three drugs, namely: Cilnidipine, Telmisartan, and Metoprolol succinate. Cilnidipine acts on the calcium channels of the blood vessels and suppresses the contraction of blood vessels, thereby helping the blood flow smoothly. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, thereby relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure. Metoprolol succinate slows down the rate and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. Together, Met XL Trio 25 Tablet 15's helps treat hypertension.
 
Take Met XL Trio 25 Tablet 15's as prescribed. You are advised to take Met XL Trio 25 Tablet 15's for as long as your doctor has recommended it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, decreased blood pressure, and slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Try not to stop taking Met XL Trio 25 Tablet 15's on your own as it may cause a sudden increase in blood pressure. • Regular exercise is also recommended to complement treatment with Met XL Trio 25 Tablet 15's.
• Eat a diet rich in whole grains, vegetables, fruits.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Maintain a healthy weight with proper diet and exercise.
• Managing stress with meditation, yoga, massage would also help in treating high blood pressure.
• Avoid consuming food rich in potassium, such as bananas, broccoli, almonds, avocado, and potassium supplements.
