Menabol Tablet 20's
About Menabol Tablet 20's
Menabol Tablet 20's belongs to the class 'anabolic steroids' used in the treatment of hereditary angioedema. It is a rare genetic condition characterized by recurrent episodes of severe swelling (angioedema). The most common areas of the body to develop swelling are the limbs, face, intestinal tract and airway. Minor trauma or stress may trigger an attack, but swelling often occurs without a known trigger.
Menabol Tablet 20's contains stanozolol, a synthetic anabolic steroid (a man-made steroid similar to the naturally occurring steroid testosterone). Menabol Tablet 20's works by reducing the release of a chemical called bradykinin (a peptide that promotes inflammation), which is responsible for the breaking and leakage of blood vessels. This damage to blood vessels leads to sudden accumulation of fluids below the skin, causing swelling (edema) as well as redness. In this way, Menabol Tablet 20's blocks the action of bradykinin and treats angioedema.
You are advised to take Menabol Tablet 20's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience some common side effects like swelling of legs, ankle swelling, and feet swelling, edema (swelling), breast enlargement, and insomnia (difficulty in sleeping). Most of these side effects of Menabol Tablet 20's do not require any medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, stop the medicine and consult your doctor.
Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Menabol Tablet 20's or any other medicines. Menabol Tablet 20's is not recommended for pre-menopausal women and children. Please consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Menabol Tablet 20's. The elderly should use Menabol Tablet 20's with caution due to the high risk of adverse effects. If you have kidney, liver or heart problems, high cholesterol levels in the blood, diabetes or blood disorders, inform your doctor before taking Menabol Tablet 20's.
