Maf-XT Capsule is a combination medication used in the treatment of neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to damage to sensory nerves. Symptoms include spontaneous, untriggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful). Maf-XT Capsule may be used in treating diabetic neuropathy, drug-induced neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, and trigeminal neuralgia.
Maf-XT Capsule is a combination of four drugs: Alpha-lipoic acid (anti-oxidant), folic acid (vitamin), methylcobalamin and pyridoxine (vitamin B6). Methylcobalamin and Pyridoxine help rejuvenate and protect damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and the brain. Folic acid helps in providing essential nutrients to the nerves. Together, Maf-XT Capsule helps in providing relief from neuropathic pain.
