Lifepill-4 Kit 1's

About Lifepill-4 Kit 1's

Lifepill-4 Kit 1's is a combination medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce cholesterol levels. Also, it reduces the risk of heart attack or stroke. Hypertension is a condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes so high that it causes health problems, such as heart disease.

Lifepill-4 Kit 1's contains Aspirin (antiplatelet), Atorvastatin (statin), Metoprolol (beta-blocker) and Ramipril (ACE inhibitor). Aspirin is an antiplatelet drug that decreases the formation of harmful blood clots by preventing platelets from sticking together. Atorvastatin belongs to the class of statins or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors that work by inhibiting the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme in the body that is essential to make cholesterol. Thereby, it decreases the production of LDL (bad cholesterol) by the liver. Also, it reduces the risk of stroke or heart attack by lowering the excess cholesterol deposition in the major blood vessels of the brain and heart. Metoprolol acts by inhibiting beta receptors in the heart, causing the heart to beat more slowly and with less power. Thereby, it decreases the pressure at which blood is pumped out of the heart and throughout the body. Ramipril works by blocking the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) in the body. Thus, it reduces the production of angiotensin II, which causes constriction and narrowing of blood vessels. This allows the blood vessels to relax and widen and lower blood pressure. Together, Lifepill-4 Kit 1's helps to reduce cholesterol levels and lower high blood pressure.

Take Lifepill-4 Kit 1's as prescribed. You are advised to take Lifepill-4 Kit 1's for as long as your doctor has recommended it based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Lifepill-4 Kit 1's may cause common side effects such as tiredness, dizziness, slow heartbeat, nausea, headache, orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure when standing up from sitting or lying position), and cold hands and feet. Most of these side effects of Lifepill-4 Kit 1's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to aspirin, atorvastatin, metoprolol, ramipril or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to consult a doctor before taking Lifepill-4 Kit 1's. Avoid drinking alcohol with Lifepill-4 Kit 1's as it may cause tiredness. Drive only if you are alert, as Lifepill-4 Kit 1's may cause dizziness or tiredness. If you are undergoing dialysis or any other type of blood filtration, inform your doctor before taking Lifepill-4 Kit 1's.

Medicinal Benefits

Lifepill-4 Kit 1's contains Aspirin, Atorvastatin, Metoprolol and Ramipril, used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce cholesterol levels. Also, it reduces the risk of heart attack or stroke. Aspirin decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. Atorvastatin decreases the production of LDL (bad cholesterol) by the liver. Also, it reduces the risk of stroke or heart attack by lowering the excess cholesterol deposition in the major blood vessels of the brain and heart. Metoprolol makes the heart beat slowly and with less force. Thus, it decreases the pressure at which blood is pumped out of the heart and throughout the body. Ramipril works by decreasing the production of certain substances in the body that could raise blood pressure. Thus, it lowers blood pressure by relaxing and widening blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood around the body.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Maintain a low-salt diet and minimize eating processed foods as they contain more sodium. Try to replace salt with spices or herbs to add flavour to the food.
  • Do regular exercises such as cycling, walking, jogging, dancing or swimming for a minimum of 30 minutes daily.
  • Chronic stress may also cause high blood pressure. Therefore, avoid stress triggers and make time for yourself to relax and do activities that you enjoy.
  • Maintain a diet rich in vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, and cut down on beverages and processed and sugary foods.
  • Maintain a low-fat diet. Limit your intake of dairy products made with whole milk and red meat. Prefer skim milk and fat-free or low-fat dairy products.
  • Try to include heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acid-containing foods in your daily diet. You can also use low-fat cooking oil like olive oil, soybean oil, canola oil and coconut oil, which may help lower high blood pressure.
  • Quit smoking and avoid the consumption of alcohol.

  • Based on your health history, your doctor may recommend certain tests while taking Lifepill-4 Kit 1's to monitor blood sugar levels, liver, heart, kidney and thyroid function.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Hypertension: It is a chronic condition in which blood pressure is too high. This condition can lead to hardened arteries (blood vessels), decreasing the blood and oxygen flow to the heart. Raised blood pressure can cause chest pain (angina) and heart attack (when the blood supply to the heart is blocked). High blood pressure also causes brain damage (stroke) and kidney failure. Normal blood pressure lies between 90/60 mm of Hg and 120/80 mm of Hg. If the blood pressure is 140/90 mmHg or greater, it is considered high blood pressure.

Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol): It occurs when there is an excess of the unhealthy balance of cholesterol in the blood. When there is a high level of cholesterol in the blood, your arteries get narrowed and clogged, finally contributing to heart diseases like stroke and heart attack. Eating high-fat or high-cholesterol-containing food/drinks and genetic factors are the primary causes of high cholesterol.
