About LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's

LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's belongs to the class of 'antibiotics', primarily used to treat vaginal infections, such as bacterial vaginosis (BV), candidiasis, trichomoniasis, and mixed infections with chlamydia and Neisseria. Bacterial vaginosis is caused by the change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria. Vaginal yeast infection or Candidiasis is the infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina (vulva). Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite. Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection caused by bacteria. Symptoms of a vaginal infection include itching, odour and abnormal vaginal discharge.

LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's comprises three medicines: Azithromycin (antibiotic), Fluconazole (antifungal), and Secnidazole (antibiotic). Azithromycin belongs to the class of 'macrolide antibiotics'. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which inhibits bacterial growth. Fluconazole belongs to the class of 'azole antifungal' agents. It stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Secnidazole is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of 'amoebicides'. It works by stopping the growth of infection-causing bacteria.

Use LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's as prescribed by the doctor. Common side effects of LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's include taste changes, vomiting, headache, dizziness, stomach pain, nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, and loss of appetite. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.

Drug Warnings

Do not use LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's if you are allergic to LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's or any of its components. Let your doctor know if you have any liver, kidney, gastrointestinal diseases (diarrhea and colitis, an inflammation of the colon), allergic conditions, ulcers or blisters, and urination problems. LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's is not recommended in case of severe renal impairment. It is advised to use LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's under your doctor's supervision if you use other azole antifungal medicines. It is better to avoid LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's during the first trimester of pregnancy. LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's should be used with caution and only under a doctor's advice if you are a nursing mother. Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience dizziness or other side effects that may affect your mental ability to drive. Avoid alcohol consumption along with LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's to avoid undesirable effects like flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure. Do not take any antacids containing magnesium or aluminum for up to two hours after using LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's may interact with magnesium or aluminium-containing antacids, heart-related medicines (digoxin), insomnia-treating drugs (triazolam), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine, tacrolimus), fits medicines (carbamazepine, phenytoin), antibiotics (rifampicin, rifabutin), respiratory drugs (theophylline), anti-allergy drugs (astemizole), and blood thinners.

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid alcohol intake while using LGI-3 Kit Tablet 4's.
