Kuff D Syrup 100ml is a combination drug that contains, Chlorpheniramine (anti-histamine), Dextromethorphan (cough suppressant), Phenylpropanolamine (decongestant), and Menthol (coolant), primarily used to treat dry cough. Chlorpheniramine works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Dextromethorphan works by blocking the cough receptor present in the brain, which is known to cause cough. Phenylpropanolamine narrows the small blood vessels, relieving congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Menthol produces a cooling sensation and relieves throat irritation.

Kuff D Syrup 100ml should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. The most common side effects of Kuff D Syrup 100ml are nausea, sleepiness, upset stomach, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), high blood pressure, and palpitations. Most of these side effects of Kuff D Syrup 100ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid alcohol intake with Kuff D Syrup 100ml as it may cause increased drowsiness, dizziness, and lack of concentration.

Drug-Disease Interactions: If you have any cardiovascular disease, lung disease (asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), kidney/liver disease, glaucoma (increased eye pressure), diabetes, depression, or anxiety, inform your doctor before taking Kuff D Syrup 100ml.

• Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration and keep the throat lubricated.
• Gargle with salt water for relief from sore throat.
• Do not smoke as it may worsen your condition, so avoid tobacco intake.
• Avoid alcohol consumption with Kuff D Syrup 100ml as it may cause tiredness, drowsiness, or lack of concentration.

• Children may also be more sensitive to the side effects of antihistamines. In young children, antihistamines may cause agitation/excitement instead of drowsiness.
• Do not take Kuff D Syrup 100ml if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (anti-depressant medication like Isocarboxazid, Phenelzine, Selegiline, and Tranylcypromine) in the last 14 days.
