Ketasma Tablet 10's contains Ketotifen which is an anti-allergic medicine. It works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger called ‘histamine. This chemical messenger is naturally involved in allergic reactions. Ketotifen helps to relieve discomfort and unpleasant symptoms like blocked/runny/itchy nose, red/watery eyes, and skin rashes that occur due to allergic conditions.
Ketasma Tablet 10's may cause certain side effects such as abdominal pain, nervousness, irritation, insomnia, etc. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician. Ketasma Tablet 10's should be given as advised by your child’s doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose to the child. Ketasma Tablet 10's can be given with or without food. The dose of the medicine will be decided by your pediatrician depending on the severity of the allergic symptoms.
Ketasma Tablet 10's should be avoided if your child is allergic to it. Keep your doctor informed about your child’s health condition including his current medications and medical history to rule out any side effects/interactions. If your child has any liver or kidney diseases, inform your doctor before using Ketasma Tablet 10's. Ketasma Tablet 10's is not recommended for use in children below two years of age as its safety and efficacy are not established.
