Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml

Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia (infection of lung tissue), bronchitis, throat infections including pharyngitis and tonsillitis, otitis media (middle ear infections), sinusitis (infection of the sinuses), skin and soft tissue infections, bladder and kidney infections. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml does not work against infections, flu or cold symptoms caused by the virus.

Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml contains Cefaclor, an antibiotic that works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby damaging the bacterial cell wall and killing the bacterial cell. Thus, it prevents the growth of bacterial infection. 

Use Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for your child based on their medical condition. Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml may cause side effects such as vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, weakness or itching. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or bother your child, please consult your doctor.

If your child is allergic to Cefaclor, penicillins or any other medicines, please tell the doctor. Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml should be used in children above 1 month in doses as prescribed by a doctor only. If your child has severe kidney problems, inform your doctor before using Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml. You are recommended to complete the full course of Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml as prescribed by the doctor, even if your child feels better after a few days.

If your child is allergic to Cefaclor, penicillins or any other medicines, please tell the doctor. Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml should be used in children above 1 month in doses as prescribed by a doctor only. Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml may interact with certain tests, such as glucose (sugar) in urine and give unusual results. Therefore, inform the doctor that your child is using Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml before undergoing any tests. You are recommended to complete the full course of Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml as prescribed by the doctor, even if your child feels better after a few days.

If your child is about to undergo blood or urine tests, inform the doctor that your child is taking Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml as it may interfere with these tests.

• Give probiotics after completing the full course of Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml to restore some healthy bacteria in the intestines that may have been killed. Taking probiotics after antibiotic treatment can reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Certain fermented foods like cheese, yoghurt, kombucha, sauerkraut, and kimchi can restore the good bacteria of the intestine.
• Include fibre-rich foods, as they can be easily digested by your gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Thus, fibre-rich foods may help restore healthy gut bacteria after a course of antibiotics. Whole grains such as whole-grain bread and brown rice should be included in your diet.
• Make sure your child drinks plenty of water or other fluids every day while using Keflor Oral Suspension 30 ml.
