Ironee-S Injection 5 ml belongs to the class of 'iron replacement products,' primarily used to treat iron deficiency anaemia in people with long-term kidney diseases. Iron deficiency anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells for carrying adequate oxygen required to various body tissues due to insufficient iron. 

Ironee-S Injection 5 ml contains Iron Sucrose that belongs to the class of 'haematinics'. Iron is a nutritional supplement required by the red blood cells to carry oxygen to other body cells and tissues. Ironee-S Injection 5 ml works by restoring the iron levels in the body. It also improves the quality of blood by increasing levels of haemoglobin (blood protein) and red blood cells.

Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. In some cases, it may cause side effects like muscle cramps, nausea, vomiting, taste changes, diarrhoea, constipation, headache, cough, back pain, flu symptoms, joint pain, dizziness, and swelling of the arms and legs. Most of these side effects of Ironee-S Injection 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Brief your medical history to the doctor if you have any heart, liver or kidney diseases, iron overload disorders like hemochromatosis, lupus (immune disorder), low blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, and eczema before starting Ironee-S Injection 5 ml. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult the doctor before starting Ironee-S Injection 5 ml. Ironee-S Injection 5 ml may cause dizziness, hence drive or operate machinery with caution. Ironee-S Injection 5 ml is recommended in children above two years of age when prescribed by the doctor.

Ironee-S Injection 5 ml is used to treat iron-deficiency anaemia in patients with chronic kidney diseases. It contains Iron sucrose. It works by restoring the iron levels in the body. It also improves the quality of blood by increasing levels of haemoglobin (blood protein) and red blood cells. Ironee-S Injection 5 ml is intended for use in patients with kidney diseases, including those who may or may not require dialysis. It is generally used in patients to whom oral forms of iron are not suitable or ineffective.

Ironee-S Injection 5 ml should be used during pregnancy only when advised by your doctor. Ironee-S Injection 5 ml is excreted into the breast milk, hence consult your doctor before using Ironee-S Injection 5 ml if you are a breastfeeding mother. Ironee-S Injection 5 ml can make you feel dizzy, hence drive or operate machinery only when you are alert. Drinking alcohol can affect iron absorption; therefore, it is advised to avoid alcohol intake while using Ironee-S Injection 5 ml. Ironee-S Injection 5 ml is safe to use in children above two years of age when prescribed by the doctor. Do not store Ironee-S Injection 5 ml above 25°C.

Regular monitoring of iron and haemoglobin levels is advised to rule out the possibility of anaemia.
