Infen Gel 30 gm contains Dexketoprofen, a pain killer used to treat moderate to severe pain. It works by blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme in the body involved in producing certain chemical substances, such as prostaglandins, that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, it helps in relieving joint pain and muscle pain in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Also, Infen Gel 30 gm may be used to treat pain caused by tendonitis, such as tennis elbow.

Infen Gel 30 gm belongs to a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) used to treat moderate to severe pain in conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering of cartilage.
